Wednesday, Netflix’s new show about Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family, premiered in November and immediately became a monster hit. It was so popular that you expected the streamer to renew it right away, and the fact that they took so long was starting to make people nervous.

But everyone can calm down now. Netflix announced today that Wednesday will indeed return for a second season. Check out the announcement trailer below:

We don’t get any footage from season 2 — that’d be impossible, they haven’t shot anything yet — but we get a new narration from star Jenna Ortega, who has blown up since the series dropped, as well as some shots of director Tim Burton waving to Wednesday superfans from a balcony like he’s the Pope. “The global phenomenon will return.”

Wednesday season 2 is coming to Netflix!

The first season of Wednesday followed the titular character as she attended Nevermore Academy, a kind of spooky Hogwarts for werewolves, witches, and other creepy things. Between having deadpan conversations with her insufferably cheery roommate and going viral for her dancing skills, she got mixed up in a murder mystery.

The first season ended with a suggestion of more horror to come. Paired with the show’s immense success, that made a second season inevitable. We don’t have a release date yet, but don’t expect Wednesday season 2 to be out anytime soon.
