It’s important you know that Prince Harry hasn’t seen Game of Thrones

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Mr. Meghan Markle, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, is currently getting out there talking up his new book Spare, wherein he writes about growing up in Britain’s royal family, and then leaving Britain’s royal family to pursue life in exile with nothing but a $100 million Netflix deal and a $40 million book deal to sustain him.

Recently Harry chatted with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, where he dropped many fun facts about the British press, his brother Prince William, and more. Feel free to sample that below:

For our purposes, far and away the most interesting part of the interview — maybe the only interesting part — was when Harry revealed that he hasn’t watched Game of Thrones…and Anderson Cooper revealed that he probably has.

  • Anderson Cooper: “It’s hard, I think, for anybody to imagine a family dynamic that is so ‘Game of Thrones’ without dragons.”
  • Prince Harry: “I don’t watch ‘Game of Thrones’ but…”
  • A Coops: “Oh. Okay.”
  • P Hairy: “…there’s def…but there’s definitely dragons.”

Prince Harry hasn’t watched Game of Thrones, but he knows there are dragons in it

And there you have it: Prince Harry hasn’t watched Game of Thrones. But has Prince William? What about Kate Middleton? Who was Queen Elizabeth’s favorite Stark? These are the kinds of questions I would have asked were I Anderson Cooper.

Although I kind of take objection with people describing the life of a modern royal as being like Game of Thrones. I imagine it’s more like The Crown, which is kinda like Game of Thrones but way less is at stake and everything moves a lot more slowly.

Anyway, if you’re interested, you can get one over on the Ginger Prince and watch Game of Thrones whenever you like on HBO Max.
