Ke Huy Quan reveals how he landed his role in Loki season 2

All it took for Kevin Feige was one viewing of Everything Everywhere All At Once to cast Ke Huy Quan in Loki season 2.

The Golden Globes-winning actor revealed on an episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast that the Marvel Studios president was the first person to call him after the movie came out. Feige immediately offered him a role in the MCU spin-off show featuring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson.

"When our movie came out, the first phone call I got was from Kevin Feige, who graciously asked me if I wanted to join the MCU universe."

Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan joins Loki season 2

The young kid from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies made a return to feature film last year and has been winning awards ever since for his performance as Waymond Wang. In Loki, it’s rumored that Quan will play the role of a tech official at the Time Variance Authority named “Oroborus.” The character will also go by the nickname of ‘B-O’.

That detail has not been confirmed by Marvel or Disney at the moment. Quan himself has kept it well under wraps. Most Marvel actors are pretty cagey about their MCU roles, unless they are Mark Ruffalo or Tom Holland.

However, Quan did reveal that Loki star Tom Hiddleston let his fanboy flag fly on set. “He said, ‘Oh my god, I cannot believe I’m working with Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!’ And he was so cute and so kind. I was so excited, that I said, ‘Oh my god, did anybody get that on tape?”

Ke Huy Quan has also worked as a fight choreographer in X-Men (2000) and on Wong Kar-wai’s 2046.

Between Sylvie unleashing Kang upon the multiverse and TVA’s creepy mascot Miss Minutes interacting with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds on Twitter, Loki season 2 is gearing up to become quite the event.
