The CW releases trailers for their only DC shows left: Gotham Knights and Superman & Lois
By Dan Selcke
The CW has gone through a dramatic transformation over the last year, with many shows canceled or ending. The includes the bulk of shows in the “Arrowverse,” including Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman and Stargirl. The Flash is still around, but it begins its ninth and final season on February 8. What’s left to hold up the DC Comics flag?
The big one is Superman & Lois, which is coming up on its third season. This one isn’t technically a part of the wider Arrowverse — at the least, there have been way fewer crossovers than usual — but it’s managed to stand on its own pretty well.
This new season will see some changes, named Michael Bishop replacing Jordan Elsass in the role of Jonathan Kent. But the dynamic of the show — Lois and Clark are working parents who must manage superheroics with raising their two sons — is unchanged:
Gotham Knights is probably the last new DC show we’ll see from The CW for a long while
The CW is also set to debut Gotham Knights, a show about what happens when Batman dies (maybe, we’ll see where this goes) and his son has to team up with the children of his enemies (including the Joker’s daughter) to find out the truth.
It sound like a very CW show. Watch the trailer below:
Supernatural veteran Misha Collins will plays DA Harvey Dent, who is investigating Batman’s murder. Stay away from vats of acid, Harvey.
Both Gotham Knights and Superman & Lois season 3 premieres on The CW on March 14.
