A few weeks back, Marvel fans were shaken by the news that Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the MCU, was hospitalized following a snowplow accident on his property in Nevada on New Year’s Day. Renner was airlifted to a local hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Following the surgeries Renner was in critical but stable condition.

Thankfully, the actor is now back at home and recovering. Renner broke the news on Twitter this week when he replied to a plug for the season 2 premiere of his crime drama Mayor of Kingstown “Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home,” he wrote.

The good news comes more than two weeks after Renner’s accident. According to the Washoe Country Sheriff’s Office, Renner was using his snow plow to help a family member who was stuck on his property; after freeing their vehicle, he got out to speak to them, when his plow suddenly started rolling forward and ran over him. “We do not suspect any foul play,” said Washoe County Sheriff David Balaam at a press conference earlier this month. “We believe this was a tragic accident.”

Fortunately, it sounds like the worst is behind Renner. Here’s hoping his ongoing recovery at home is quick and he’s back shooting arrows at bad guys in no time.
