Here at the start of 2023, Pedro Pascal is the busiest man in Hollywood. The Game of Thrones alum is currently starring in The Last of Us on HBO as a survivor of a zombie apocalypse who finds himself having to escort a precocious teenager named Ellie across a ruined United States. And in March, he’ll return as Din Djarin in the third season of The Mandalorian, Disney’s hit Star Wars show. The guy is everywhere (even if he covers up his face for most of Mando)!

And now, NBC has announced that Pascal will host Saturday Night Live on February 4, with musical guest Coldplay!

So many sketch ideas come to mind: Baby Yoda and Ellie fight for the affections of their foster father; a rematch with the Mountain from Game of Thrones where Oberyn Martell just stabs him without all that talking; a Last of UsWalking Dead crossover where the characters get confused over which show they’re in. I could go on.

Game of Thrones veteran Pedro Pascal hosts Saturday Night Live

If I’m not mistaken (and I might be, the cast is big), Pascal is the third Game of Thrones veteran to host Saturday Night Live; Jason Momoa did it in 2018 and Kit Harington in 2019, right before the final season premiere.

Before Pascal’s episode, this Saturday’s episode of SNL will be hosted by Marvel star Michael B. Jordan, with musical guest Lil Baby.
