7. The Mandalorian: “The Mandalorian” by Ludwig Goranson

I’ll cut to the chase: this theme song is just badass and it makes me want to ride a Bantha into battle.

That bass recorder in the beginning, and then the bass when it kicks in…you know you’re about to witness something special, even before you learn that the incredible Pedro Pascal is under the Mandalorian’s helmet. Not to mention you may of cuteness overload thanks to Grogu.

As the song continues, it reveals its OG Star Wars roots as the orchestra becomes a little more playful, grand and intense. But it’s the beginning of the song that gets stuck in my head more than I care to admit.

6. The Witcher: “Geralt of Rivia” by Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli

Majestic. Elegant. Badass. Hot.

No, I am not describing Henry Cavill (this time), but I am talking about The Witcher‘s theme song.

It’s a magical, loud, inspiring song that will give you goosebumps and may even get you dancing. Or at least tapping along. It has a lot going on with the multiple instruments and mashing together of genres, which mirrors what the show itself is about to do.

5. Star Trek: Discovery: – “Main Title” by Jeff Russo

This song touches a part of my brain that is really soothed by strings. I am a complete sucker for violins.

The song starts out quiet but intentional. When the orchestra kicks in, you’re left filled with wonder and inspiration. The opening credits that go along with this theme song are absolutely perfect; the wire-frame outlines of communicators, phasers, and the USS Discovery is very visually pleasing.

The last few seconds of the song are a nod to Star Trek shows past, with that timeless trumpet cue that reminds us we’re about to head to the final frontier. This song is nothing short of a masterpiece.
