Tonight’s new episode of The Last of Us was easily the boldest, most moving yet. Much of it focused on Frank and Bill, a pair of characters we hadn’t met before and probably won’t see again. But next week, Ellie and Joel will be on their own and on the road.
Or at least, that’s how things will start. But as the trailer shows us, they’ll soon run into trouble. Check it out:
Fans of The Last of Us video game will probably recognize the scene where a man begs Joel to slow down and help him, only for Joel to gun it and try to power through; he’s seen this kind of trick before.
When does The Last of Us Episode 4 air?
The Last of Us started strong and is only gaining momentum as it goes, with Episode 3 plumbing new emotional depths for the show. If that’s the kind of emotion we can expect, then the rest of the season might destroy me.
The Last of Us season 1 is nine episodes long, meaning there are six left. Will Joel find his brother? Will he get Ellie into the hands of the Fireflies, who can use her immunity to synthesize a cure to the zombie plague that has decimated society? Will we ever stop crying over Episode 3? These answers and more as the season goes on.
