Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met on the set of Game of Thrones, where they played Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively. They were married just as the show ended, and welcomed their first child in 2021. Now, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Harington said that his son “is about to get the shock of his life” as he’s set to “get a brother or sister.”

“I’m terrified,” Harington admitted. “With the first baby you’re like walking through clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for 9 months, well — the man is anyway.” This time, “the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick.”

As for what his two-year-old son thinks of the new baby, Harington said that he hasn’t “conceptually understood it just yet.”

"We’re trying to get him ready for it, we point to Rose’s tummy and we say, “Mommy’s baby.” And he points at his tummy and says, “My baby.”"

Kit Harington will star in the Jon Snow spinoff once his ego is bruised enough

Fallon also asked Harington about a potential Game of Thrones sequel show about Harington’s character Jon Snow, which we know is in the early stages of development at HBO, although that doesn’t guarantee that it’ll happen. “I can’t say anything on that, but I dunno, man,” Harington mused.

"I walk down the street and I get recognized a little less nowadays, and it kind of hurts my ego, y’know? I’m pretty close to putting on some furs.I’ve got a tally in my head how few photos I get asked for in a day, and when it gets below a certain number I think I’ll do the spinoff."

Alright, you heard the man: if you see him on the street, pretend you don’t know who he is.

Based on what we know about the Jon Snow show, Kit Harington brought it to HBO himself, complete with a writer and showrunner in tow, so he’s probably playing a little coy here. He wants this to happen; he came up with the idea. Whether or not it goes through, we’ll see.

You can see Harington right now in his new movie Baby Ruby. There’s a clip from the movie in the Fallon segment above. It features Kit Harington speaking in an American accent, which is always interesting.
