Con of Thrones returning for 2023!

Back in 2017, Mischief Management put on the first-ever Con of Thrones, a convention dedicated to all things Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. Unfortunately, the convention skipped a few years starting in 2020, the year the pandemic really took off.

But they’re back! Mischief Management will be mounting a new con this summer at the Hyatt Regency Orlando from August 25-27. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. EST.

“We are so excited to bring Con of Thrones back to the fans for another year,” said Melissa Anelli, CEO of Mischief Management. “Every previous event has seen the fandom display a level of passion, enthusiasm, and creativity that inspires and thrills us. And Orlando is such a welcoming city for this kind of geek-out!”

Con of Thrones features a lot of what you’d expect to find at a fan convention, including appearances from stars of Game of Thrones (and likely now House of the Dragon). Past guests have included Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Jerome Flynn (Bronn), Hannah Murray (Gilly), Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio Forel), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Kate Dickie (Lysa Arryn), Paula Fairfield (Sound Design), and many more. (Guests for Con of Thrones 2023 will be announced at a later date, as is standard in the industry.)

But speaking as someone who went to the first three Cons of Thrones, what made them special to me was all the fan-produced entertainment, from the panels looking at specific parts of the series to the cosplay to the marketplace to the karaoke nights and dance parties. Con of Thrones really did feel like a place for fans to celebrate something they love, and I’m thrilled it’s coming back! That goes double since House of the Dragon has become a hit, giving fans that much more fodder for discussion and creativity.

Ticket packages for Con of Thrones range from $89 for a Day Pass to $899 for an all-new limited-quantity premium level Dragonrider Pass. Premium-level Dragonrider and Valyrian passes include guaranteed premium seating for all Mainstage events, an exclusive Q&A with special guests, exclusive merchandise, and more.
