The fifth episode of The Last of Us has come and gone, and it was as emotionally devastating as we’ve come to expect from this show. Four episodes remain in the first season. Will Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) reach their destination?

If their destination is “Wyoming,” then yes. In fact, they get there in the net episode, as we can see in the trailer for Episode 6, “Kin.” Watch below!

But even though Ellie and Joel get to where they’re going, their journey is far from over. “Be careful who you put your faith in,” a woman tells Ellie. “The only people who can betray us are the ones we trust.” Well, that’s certainly ominous…

Where are Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us Episode 6?

If you remember, Joel and Ellie were going to Wyoming to find Joel’s younger brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna), who we last saw in the flesh way back in Episode 1, in the lengthy prologue that showed what happened to Joel and his family on the day of the outbreak. Since then he joined up with the Fireflies, the revolutionary group fighting against FEDRA. But apparently he’s left them.

Still, he might know where they are, which is important, because they may have the resources to study Ellie’s immunity to the cordyceps fungus and devise a cure. But it looks like Joel and Tommy have a hatchet or two to bury before they start trading information.

The latest episode of The Last of Us dropped on HBO Max on Friday, earlier than usual. Episode 6 will drop at the normal time: Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST, 8:00 CST, the same time as it airs linearly on HBO.
