Stuff like The Last of Us on HBO Max and You on Netflix help buoy a slow-ish month for the Streaming Wars.

Each month, we read over the latest dispatches from the front lines of the Streaming Wars and assess how the likes of Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and the rest are doing. Who won the day, who was defeated, and who’s biding their time? We mark it all down on this living graph, which changes every month.

Let’s recap what happened on the battlefield in February of 2023:

Paramount+

The big news at Paramount+ in February was the beginning of the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard. It also got new movies like Babylon. Points: +2

Netflix

Netflix had a ton of new original content in February, but I bet you’ve never heard of most of it. The ones to break out were Outer Banks season 3 and You season 4, although neither got great marks. Still, points for quantity. Points: +2

Disney+

Disney+ got new episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, National Treasure: Edge of History, and the streaming release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Meh. Points: +2

Hulu

Beyond the library titles, Hulu got new crime series like Taiwan Crime Stories and the third season of the Animaniacs reboot. It’s the second meh month in a row for the service. Points: +1

HBO Max

HBO Max got some cool library titles, a Harley Quinn special, an Aqua Teen movie and more episodes of The Last of Us. That last one raises the average a fair amount. Points: +2

Amazon Prime Video

Last month, Amazon got originals like Carnival Row and The Consultant starring Christoph Waltz. And there are library titles, but overall there’s not a ton here. Points: + 1

Apple TV+

The good news: in February, Apple TV+ got new original series like Sharper, Dear Edward and Hello Tomorrow! The bad news: what are these shows? Points: + 1

Peacock

This month, Peacock got new episodes of the buzzy show Poker Face, the second season of Bel Air and lots of library titles. Points: + 2

One fun note is that with this update, HBO Max pulled ahead of Hulu in our rankings. HBO Max now has 81 points to Hulu’s 80. You can check out the full living graph right here:
