1. Sabine Wren / Clan Wren
Star Wars Rebels veteran and fellow Mandalorian, Sabine Wren is confirmed to make an appearance in the upcoming Aksoka TV show, where she’ll be played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo. However, there is a good chance that the first appearance of the character in live action will happen in this season of The Mandalorian.
During Rebels, Wren is heavily involved in Mandalorian politics and even comes into possession of the Darksaber. After helping Bo-Katan and the rest of the Mandalorian resistance overthrow Gar Saxon and his Imperial-allied Mandalorian faction, Wren gives the Darksaber to Bo-Katan. Sometime after this, the Mandalorian people are scattered throughout the galaxy and divide into several different clans because Bo-Katan was unable to keep them together and the Empire decided to purge Mandalore and its people.
We do not know what Wren has been up to since the end of Rebels, where she and Ahsoka prepared to go on a quest to find their friend Ezra Bridger. Before we get to that story in the Ahsoka show, Wren will probably be introduced as a player in this larger Mandalorian political situation. Wren’s mother Ursa is the leader of Clan Wren, who fought alongside Bo-Katan’s faction during the siege of Mandalore. We see Clan Wren help the Alliance in Rebels, and pledge their allegiance to Bo-Katan when she receives the Darksaber. It is unknown what Sabine’s parents and brother have been up to since the Imperial purge, or if they are even still around. But if season 3 keeps heading in this direction, I think it’s likely we will not only see Clan Wren, but the other scattered clans as well.
