The Wheel of Time season 2 is not coming out in April 2023

The Wheel of Time is one of the most famous fantasy series around. Started by Robert Jordan and finished by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan’s death, the series runs 14 books strong, not counting prequels and expansions. And in 2021, Amazon finally brought this series to the small screen with a Wheel of Time TV show!

The show got mixed reviews, but overall was a pretty solid adaptation of a fantasy classic; I definitely wanted to see more. Unfortunately, we’ve currently in the midst of a long wait for a second season.

At least we know it’s coming; in fact, there’s even evidence that Amazon is also working on a third. But when do we get to see it?

When will The Wheel of Time season 2 come out on Amazon Prime Video?

Filming on the second season of The Wheel of Time wrapped way back in May of 2022, so they’ve been tinkering with the footage for a while. At any rate, w know it exists. Maybe they’re waiting for the right time to release it, possibly so the wait between seasons 2 and 3 isn’t as long as the wait between seasons 1 and 2. They even put out a behind-the-scenes feature:

It seems a sure thing that we’ll get season 2 of The Wheel of Time sometime this year. Hopefully a new teaser or trailer is just around the corner, complete with a release date. And the show won’t be coming out in April, that’s for sure.
