Does Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves have a post-credits scene?
By WiC Staff
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is currently raking it in at the theaters. Based on the long-running Dungeons & Dragons tabletop roleplaying game, Honor Among Thieves is a raucous fantasy romp that follows fast-talking bard Edgin (Chris Pine), potato-loving barbarian Holga (Michelle Rodriguez) and their allies as they attempt to pull off a heist on a deviously entertaining con man played by Hugh Grant. It’s just as outrageous as it sounds, and easily one of the most fun fantasy movies of the year so far.
If you’re hot off seeing Honor Among Thieves — nay, if you’re in a seat in a movie theater right at this very moment, wondering if you have to sit through the credits for a post-credits stinger — then fear not! We’ll let you know right here whether Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has any end credits scenes.
There will, of course, be SPOILERS below.
Post-credits scene Dungeons and Dragons
To answer the question right up front: yes, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves does have a post-credits scene. The post-credits scene happens in the middle of the credits; there is only the one, meaning that after you’ve seen it you don’t need to hang around for the rest of the credits since there’s nothing at the very end.
In the mid-credits scene, we see the undead corpse of one of Holga’s ancestors who Simon (Justice Smith) brought back to life to help our party of adventurers find the Helm of Disjunction. As part of Simon’s necromancy, corpses come back to life to answer five questions, at which point they return to their eternal slumber and can never be reawakened. This particular corpse is the last one that the group talks to, and who they very rudely leave conscious because they can’t be bothered to ask all five questions.
As a result, this undead fellow is still sitting in his coffin at the end of the movie, waiting to see if anyone will come along and ask him his last couple of questions so he can get back to the afterlife. It’s a fun little post-credits stinger that perfectly fits the light tone of the movie.
