Season 3 of The Mandalorian is at an end, which means it’s a prime time for a rewatch to reminisce on all the good times had with Din Djarin and his little buddy Baby Yoda Din Grogu. The third season of The Mandalorian marked a big turning point for the show, with the Mandalorian people finally retaking their homeworld of Mandalore from the clutches of the nefarious Moff Gideon.

It also marked a turning point behind the camera; this season was the first time that actor Pedro Pascal’s two stunt doubles for Din Djarin received star billing on the series. Both Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder have performed as stunt doubles for Din going all the way back to the show’s first season, but this time around they’re finally getting credited right up there alongside Pedro Pascal for their work.

This has led more than a few fans to speculate on whether Pascal was leaving The Mandalorian; after all, he’s a hot commodity right now and has a starring role in HBO’s The Last of Us, which is surely taking up a lot of time. Read on for the details.

Is Pedro Pascal leaving The Mandalorian?

The short answer to the question of whether Pascal is leaving The Mandalorian is no. At this point, neither the actor nor Disney have indicated in any way that this is something fans should be worried about.

That said, the actor’s busy schedule obviously does have some effect on the production. It’s been reported that one scene where Din Djarin was supposed to be unmasked was cut from season 3 because Pascal was unavailable for filming. A lot of this seems to be the result of his work on The Last of Us.

As such, both Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder filmed more than ever in the suit this year, thus their new star billing status on the series. But Pascal is still very much involved in filming scenes and providing all of the voicing for Din Djarin, and there’s no reason to think that’ll change anytime soon.
