Doctor Who showrunner says “terrible things” are in store for Donna Noble
By Ariba Bhuvad
Doctor Who fans cannot wait for the return of David Tennant and Catherine Tate as the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble. The 60th-anniversary special is going to be such a treat for long-time Whovians, and we are all counting down the days.
While not much is known about the special, showrunner Russell T Davies is giving us some interesting teases: according to a comment he made on Instagram, Donna Noble has “terrible things” in store upon her return.
What does that mean? We have no idea!
Donna Noble could have a time of it when she returns to Doctor Who this year
Davies’ comment was made in reply to a post on the official Doctor Who Instagram account all about Donna Noble’s history. It’s a wonderful trip down memory lane! The caption reads, “Donna Noble’s TARDIS adventures took her all over time and space – what does the future hold?” Davies’ response? “Oh. Terrible things.” And then a sad face emoji for good measure.
In honor of Tennant’s 52nd birthday, the official Doctor Who Instagram also posted a new image of him with the caption, “A new generation… with a familiar face? Find out later this year exactly what… what… WHAT is going on!”
WE CANNOT WAIT! We’ve got about t-minus seven to eight months before we see how this journey continues before the torch is passed to Ncuti Gatwa, who will be playing the new Doctor after Tennant’s brief return. We have so many questions and not enough answers, but luckily time is passing by quickly and soon enough we’ll know it all.
