House of the Dragon is filming through the writers strike. Where does that leave showrunner Ryan Condal? We break down a complicated situation.
This week on Take the Black, it’s all labor, all the time! Hollywood is in the midst of a writers strike, and it’s making things difficult for some of our favorite TV shows. Where is the line between writing and producer? How do you pump the brakes on a huge TV show after you’ve already hired extras and booked locations?
We use House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal as a case study. Is he still on set, and if he is, does that mean he’s breaking the strike? It’s early days and things are unclear. Let’s try and sort through it:
