First the bad news: John Wick: Chapter 4 came out earlier this year, and the ending seemed…definitive. That’s not bad in and of itself, but if anyone was hoping we get more from this spectacular action franchise, the ending of that movie seemed to squash their hopes.

On the other hand, Lionsgate clearly isn’t ready to say goodbye to the franchise; they have a spinoff movie, Ballerina, on the way, as well as the TV show The Continental. And John Wick director Chad Stahelski has talked about a fifth movie, however impossible it may seem after the end of the fourth. There are always ways to write around things. And considering that Chapter made more money than any other movie in the series, Lionsgate surely wants him try.

And if a fifth movie does come to pass, Stahelski knows who he’d like to work with. “There’s a huge list, but just the first thing that came to mindset was Cillian Murphy,” he told The Direct. “I’m a big Peaky Blinders fan. So, you know, I just think Cillian would fit right in. Colin Farrell is fantastic. Charlize Theron when she did Atomic Blonde, I saw that [and] went, ‘Oh my God, I gotta work with this woman. She’s awesome. I worked with Michelle Yeoh way back on a commercial years ago, and I’ve been dying to work with her ever since. I’m such a huge fan.”

Stahelski also named Robert Downey Jr. as someone he’d love to see join this world, and would jump at the opportunity to work with actors from Game of Thrones. “Peter Dinklage, I was a huge fan of his in Game of Thrones. Sean Bean. Some of those guys I think are magical. I’d die for a chance with any of those people.”

Michelle Yeoh, who has a long history in action movies and who just won an Oscar for Everything Everywhere All At Once, would be perfect for the John Wick movies, where thrilling fight sequences are the order of the day.

But first we have to see if Keanu Reeves would be willing to come back and once again inhabit the title role. I’ll just be over here, holding onto hope.
