Fans decode cryptic Doctor Who teaser for 60th anniversary special

Doctor Who fans have been treated to another cryptic teaser for the upcoming 60th anniversary special. The BBC is doing whatever it can to keep the hype level high, and I’m here for it.

The latest 10-second teaser features a shot of Neil Patrick Harris in what looks like a magician’s outfit. He has some villainous vibes about him. There is also a quick glimpse of David Tennant’s Doctor and Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble.

None of it makes sense, but I don’t care. I’m happy to get what we can as we count the days until this special airs.

The teaser again contains some hidden messages. Fans decoded another “network error” code to read, “Tracing route to Eurovision 13/05/23.” This confirms that we will likely get another full trailer during the Eurovision Song Contest.

It was also announced earlier this week that Tate would appear at the Eurovision Song Contest to announce the scores for other nations. I don’t think there is any doubt that we will be getting a treat this week when the contest begins.

Moving beyond the specials, it was recently announced that Mindhunter star Jonathan Groff would join season 4 alongside our new Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa. And now, we have our first look at the Hamilton star in all his Whovian glory:

The Doctor Who 60th anniversary special with David Tennant and Catherine Tate is set to premiere later this year! Season 14 will follow in 2024.
