HBO is currently filming the second season of House of the Dragon, its Game of Thrones prequel series. It’s doing this despite the fact that Hollywood writers are currently on strike, meaning it will have to shoot without the aid of writers on set to give notes and finesse scenes. Hopefully that works out; the cameras had already started rolling House of the Dragon season 2 when the strike was called, so they were in a tricky position.
In any case, North Wales Live reports that House of the Dragon has a presence on the Welsh island of Anglesey, the largest island in Great Britain. There was reportedly a “bustling crew” as well as tents set up in the area, although the publication wasn’t sure if filming had already happened or was still in the future.
Meanwhile, a Welsh fan recorded a video of what also looks like a House of the Dragon set in Northern Wales; I’m not sure if this is the same one North Wales Live is talking about:

George R.R. Martin: House of the Dragon season 2 is filming in Wales
This all lines up with what A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin wrote on his blog earlier this month: “Across the ocean, the second season of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON started filming April 11 and will continue in London and Wales.”
So it’s all happening in Wales. As for what they could be filming, some commenters on Reddit theorize that we could be looking at Rook’s Rest, a castle in the Crownlands. In Martin’s book Fire & Blood, Rook’s Rest is the site of a key battle, one we’ll probably see in House of the Dragon season 2.
But not for awhile. There’s plenty of filming yet, and we shouldn’t expect to see new episodes until 2024.
