David Tennant teases Doctor Who 60th anniversary will have “lots of surprises”
By Ariba Bhuvad
David Tennant is hyping up the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials any chance he gets. And we can blame him? It is gearing up to be an epic return for his take on the Doctor, not to mention Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble and Neil Patrick Harris as a mysterious new villain. Could we Whovians ask for more?
While at a fan convention, a fan asked if the specials would have “lots of surprises, like the old days. He responded that they would be “quite unexpected.”
“I think there’s stuff that people do not know is coming,” Tennant said. “And there’s some stuff that people do know is coming.”
Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials will be “quite unexpected”
The trailers have revealed that Beep the Meep and the Wrarth Warriors will feature in the specials and that Yasmin Finney will be playing a new character named Rose.
Hopefully, that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is always a possibility that stars from the past seasons will appear. (I’m looking at you, Freema Agyeman!) Almost a year ago, Tennant said the leaked set photos were not “even close to the whole story” and he had filmed with “many other people.”
I don’t think we need any more confirmation than that, do we, folks?
There hasn’t been a premiere date announced yet, but it has been said that we’ll be watching the Doctor Who specials around November of this year!
