Every month, we read over the latest dispatches from the front lines of the Streaming Wars and assess how the likes of Netflix, Max, Disney+ and the rest are doing. Who won the day, who was defeated, and who’s biding their time? We mark it all down on this living graph, which changes every month.

Paramount+

Zoe Saldaña stars in a new show called Special Ops: Lioness, Nickelodeon fans get a revival of Zoey 101 with Zoey 102, and Trekkies got more episodes of Strange New Worlds. Better than last month. Points: +1

Netflix

Look, Netflix never lacks for content. There’s a sci-fi movie called 65 starring Adam Driver that came out in July that I’d never heard of til now. But did any Netflix releases get people talking? Well, there was a new season of The Lincoln Lawyer, the movie They Cloned Tyrone, a new season of Too Hot to Handle and more episodes of The Witcher. So the answer is “somewhat.” Points: +3

Disney+

In July Disney+ concluded Secret Invasion, which sunk like a stone. Other originals included the premiere of Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire and Yuzuru Hanyu Ice Story 2023 “Gift” at Tokyo Dome. Not your best, Disney. Points: +1

Hulu

In addition to library titles, Hulu hosted revivals of both Futurama and Justified, and featured new episodes of What We Do In The Shadows. Not bad, Hulu. Points: +2

Max

Original titles for Max in July included a new season of Harley Quinn, a documentary about the rise and fall of HQ trivia (remember that?) and new episodes of Warrior. Look, I know I’m the only one watching Warrior but it’s really good. Points: +2

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon added some library titles to entertain you in July, but the big-ticket item was the second season of Good Omens, which ain’t worth nothing. Points: + 2

Apple TV+

In July, Apple TV+ debuted new seasons of TV shows you’ve never heard of like Duck & Goose, as well as movies you’ve never heard of like The Beanie Bubble. The big-ticket item this month was the second season of Foundation, which still isn’t that big a deal. Enough for an extra point, though. Points: + 2

Peacock

The premiere originals on Peacock this month are the fifth season of Love Island and Twisted Metal, a new series based on the video game that apparently isn’t as bad as it sounds. Also: Myth of the Zodiac Killer and multiple shows starring Kevin Hart. A strong month for Peacock. Points: + 2
