Tobey Maguire returning to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man will go down as one of the most iconic moments in Marvel Cinematic Universe. After months of speculation and leaked images/videos, the world got to witness his return, and it was absolutely glorious.

Maguire has similar sentiments when it comes to his return, which he shared in the new book, Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie. He said the experience made him feel “reinvigorated” about acting and performing. Isn’t that just wonderful!

“Working with Andrew [Garfield] and Tom [Holland] was so dear to me, it really was special–a very rich experience for me, all around,” Maguire said, according to The Direct. “It kind of reinvigorated my interest in performing. It felt like a real brotherhood, which was what we were aiming for, too, for us and for the characters.”

He continued, “But then to have those dynamics play out–feeling a real connection and love for these guys, and having fun and having a laugh–all of that was energizing and reinvigorating for me.”

Hearing how positive the experience was for Maguire truly warms my heart because he had all but vanished from the Hollywood scene before that. I’m so happy that Tobey Maguire got a second wind and an opportunity to revive his career (peek him in Babylon).

I’m really hoping that down the line Maguire gets the chance to return in some capacity as Spider-Man. Honestly, they should give him his own movie or spin-off, or better yet, he and Andrew Garfield should get one together!
