How to watch deleted scenes, bloopers and more extras from Good Omens season 2

The second season of Good Omens is out now in its entirety on Amazon Prime Video. And there’s more good news: Amazon has made available several deleted scenes and bloopers. There’s even more of Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), Crowley (David Tennant) and their assorted celestial associates to enjoy!

But there’s also some bad news: instead of just releasing these extras on YouTube or within the Amazon Prime Video app itself, Amazon has opted to make them hellishly hard to find.

So how do you watch these extras? The short version is that you have to use Prime Video’s X-Ray system. Under this method, extras will become available to you if you pause a given episode while you watch. And as The Mary Sue reports, episode-specific extras are only available as you watch those episodes, so they’re not all available in one place.

All the deleted scenes, bloopers and other extras from Good Omens season 2

This seems very silly to me, but at least there are extras available if you’re willing to work to watch them. Here are the extras The Mary Sue managed to find:

  • Episode 1 bonus content: A blooper featuring David Tennant’s Crowley dancing and Michael Sheen’s reaction to it, an extended version of the “Gabriel’s Arrival” scene, and a VFX breakdown of the episode narrated by the angel Muriel, who narrates all of these VFX breakdowns.
  • Episode 2 bonus content: Crowley Ordering Drinks” blooper and a VFX breakdown.
  • Episode 3 bonus content: VFX breakdown
  • Episode 4 bonus content: Mrs. Henderson blooper, “Magic Shop Zombies” extended scene, “Magic Trick” extended scene, VFX breakdown
  • Episode 5 bonus content: Mr. and Mrs. Cheng deleted scene, “Justine’s Peanut Allergy” extended scene, “Surrender the Angle” deleted scene, “Rob Encounters Demons” deleted scene, VFX breakdown
  • Episode 6 bonus content: Easter eggs, title sequence Easter eggs, VFX breakdown

Also, as you watch the episodes, more concept art and behind-the-scenes videos are added to the “Behind the Scenes” subsection in the X-Ray section. Behind-the-scenes videos include:

  • “Disasters on Unimaginable Scales”
  • “Strictly Come Demons
  • “The Costumes of Season 2”
  • “The Devil is in the Details”
  • “Grave Danger”
  • “Biblically Good”
  • “Good Omens is Back”

Many thanks to Sarah Barrett at The Mary Sue for wading through all of this! And a note to Amazon: maybe it’s all right to make all the extras available to watch in a separate section? A grateful public will thank you.
