Ahsoka is the newest Star Wars show on Disney+. It follows the adventures of Ahsoka Tano, an ex-Jedi who was first introduced in the animated show The Clone Wars.

The Clone Wars, as you might expect, is set during the Clone Wars, which went down between Episode II — Attack of the Clones and Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. So during the prequel era. In fact, Ahsoka was the protege of none other than Anakin Skywalker, the man who would become Darth Vader.

Ahsoka also appeared in another animated series called Star Wars Rebels. This show was set during the original Star Wars trilogy, when Luke and Han and Leia were all running around getting stuff done.

And that brings us to Ahsoka, her own solo show. Where on the Star Wars timeline is this one set?

Where does Ahsoka fall in the timeline?

Star Wars: Ahsoka is set after the end of the original Star Wars trilogy but before the start of the sequel trilogy. So Darth Vader is dead, the Empire has fallen, but we’re still a ways off from the First Order coming to power.

This is the same time period in which The Mandalorian takes place. Ditto The Book of Boba Fett. In fact, Ahsoka appeared on both of those shows. And it sounds like they’ll cross over again; word is that Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni is working on a movie that will tie multiple storylines from these series together.
