Exciting update about My Adventures With Superman season 2

The first season of My Adventures With Superman has just wrapped up. Available to watch on Adult Swim or to stream on Max, My Adventures With Superman is an anime-inspired take on the Man of Steel that has quickly got fans talking. The story is straightforward and earnest, the performances are solid, the humor is fun, the animation is zippy with a lot of energy…it’s just a great start to what could be a long-lived show.

That said, a second season hasn’t yet been announced. However, co-producer and writer Josephine Campbell sounded very hopeful while talking to the Superman Homepage. “Stay tuned for Season 2,” she said. “We got the the wonderful task of being able to make them both around the same time and I’m very excited for this. There’s so much stuff in Season 2 that I think is gonna blow people’s minds. So yeah, just stay tuned, keep watching.”

"We were so happy to have the two seasons picked up right away, so you know, honestly, if there’s a Season 3, all y’all are gonna be the first ones to know, because you’re gonna be screaming from the rooftops. So if you like it, keep watching, tell your friends to watch, re-watch on Max, re-watch when it’s on TV. The best chance to get any show picked up for another season is to watch it and to talk about how much you love it."

My Adventures With Superman season 2 will “blow people’s minds”

I hadn’t realized that the first two seasons of My Adventures With Superman were made more or less concurrently. That would seem to guarantee a release sometime in the future; it’s not like someone would go to the trouble of making a whole season of TV and then not release it…right?

Actually, that kind of thing has been happening more and more of late, but given that there’s been plenty of solid buzz around My Adventures With Superman, I don’t think that will be this show’s fate.

The real question is whether My Adventures With Superman will get a third season. If they do, Campbell is ready. “We have so many plans,” she said. “We’ve got lots. We’ve got seasons upon seasons figured out. [storyboard artist Brendan Clogher’s] got a whole board in his house that’s got all these ideas, so we could keep going.”

According to Campbell, season 2 of My Adventures With Superman will have the same number of episodes as season 1: a healthy 10. As for when it might come out, if there isn’t much more work to do, I’d predict sometime in early-mid 2024.
