While the House of Mickey has axed shows like How I Met Your Father and The Great recently, some shows are still in the pipeline. We’re talking about Disney’s on-screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps novel series.

This isn’t the first time Stine’s stories have come to life onscreen, as every ’90s kid watched the Goosebumps anthology series. Then a movie version starring Jack Black came out in 2015.

It’s time for another reboot! Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming Disney+/Hulu series!

Goosebumps series is coming to Disney+ and Hulu!

This October, the new Goosebumps series is premiering on Hulu, Disney+, and Freeform. From what we know, the new series will follow an original story that will borrow from the following books Stine wrote: Say Cheese And Die!The Haunted MaskThe Cuckoo Clock Of DoomGo Eat Worms! and Night Of The Living Dummy.

The show will follow a group of kids in high school as they try to solve the murder of one of their classmates. It’s classic Goosebumps and I’m so here for it! Now if only Disney would do a remake of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

This Goosebumps series was first announced in April 2020, but it is debuting more than three years later with a 10-episode first season. The first five episodes will drop on October 13 on Hulu and Disney+. Those with cable TV can watch the first two episodes on Freeform.

New episodes will be released weekly on the streaming platforms after that. However, Freeform only gets the first two. Looks like you’ll have to sign up for a subscription if you want to see the entire season.
