The second season of The Wheel of Time is currently airing on Amazon Prime Video, and fans overall seem to consider it a big improvement on season 1.
We’re currently six episodes into an eight-episode season. Egwene has been captured by the Seanchan. Nynaeve and Elayne are trying to break her out. Rand knows that Egwene is in Falme and wants to help her, but he’ll have to get past Lan first. It looks like everyone is going to come together for a grand climax.

The Wheel of Time season 2 finale release date
The season finale of The Wheel of Time season 2, “What Was Meant to Be,” drops on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, October 6, 2023.
Before that, the penultimate episode of The Wheel of Time season 2 will air on Friday, September 29. That one is titled “Daes Dae’mar,” which refers to the political games the high lords and ladies of Cairhien play with each other.
The second season of The Wheel of Time adapts the second book in Robert Jordan’s book series, The Great Hunt. Parts of The Dragon Reborn, the third novel, are also incorporated. The season has been getting better as it’s gone on, so if the finale keeps up that trajectory, we could be in for something special.
