Where is Mat in The Wheel of Time Episode 207? How did he get there?

In the latest episode of The Wheel of Time, “Daes Dae’mar,” Mat Cauthon is knocked out on the streets of Cairhien and wakes up in a new location. Where is he and how did he get there?
It looks like Mat is in the room where Ishamael and Lanfear met a few episodes back, when they were in Tel’aran’rhiod, the world of dreams. Ishamael is even there, offering Mat advice and encouraging him to drink mystery beverages.
But this isn’t Tel’aran’rhiod. Mat is in the real world. But where is he?
Is Mat in Falme in The Wheel of Time Episode 207?
From what we can tell, Mat is in Falme, the coastal city where Egwene is currently being held prisoner by the Seanchan, and where Nynaeve and Elayne are trying to save her. That’s also where Rand wants to go, to save Egwene. It looks like everyone is going to gather at Falme for the big finale, so Mat might as well be there too.
But how did he get there from Cairhien so quickly? We get a clue at the end of the episode, when Lanfear opens a Waygate through which she, Rand, Moiraine and Lan will presumably travel to Falme. Traveling the Ways cuts way down on travel time.
There’s only one episode of The Wheel of Time left! The season 2 finale, “What Was Meant to Be,” drops on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, October 6.
