Every month, we read over the latest dispatches from the front lines of the Streaming Wars and assess how the likes of Netflix, Max, Disney+ and the rest are doing. Who won the day, who was defeated, and who’s biding their time? We mark it all down on this living graph, which changes every month.

Paramount+

Paramount+ premiered a new season of Star Trek: Lower Decks in September, in addition to reality shows and lots of new library content. Points: +2

Netflix

As usual, Netflix has tons of new originals. Highlights include the final season of Disenchantment, Virgin River, Sex Education, Love Is Blind, Castlevania: Nocturne, Reptile. It’s not a bad month for Netflix, but lacks anything truly dazzling. Points: +2

Disney+

In September, we got more episodes of Star Wars: Ahsoka, the streaming debut of The Little Mermaid and some classic Disney cartoons. They barely squeak by with two points. Points: +2

Hulu

Hulu got the streaming debut of The Banshees of Inisherin, which is great news for anyone who likes good movies. It’s slim picking for original content, though. The biggest ticket item is the new series The Other Black Girl. Points: +1

Max

Max didn’t have a ton of new originals in September, but it shored itself up by borrowing several solid shows from AMC+, including Interview With The Vampire, Dark Winds, Killing Eve and more. It also debuted CNN+, a 24-hour streaming news service. Not sure how that will go but points for trying something. Points: +2

Amazon Prime Video

Between a new season of The Wheel of Time, the debut of The Boys spinoff Gen V, and plenty of library titles, Amazon Prime Video is sitting pretty this month. Points: + 3

Apple TV+

In September, Apple TV+ welcomed back The Morning Show, which is one of its bigger titles. We also got cool new series like The Changeling. There still aren’t many people talking about Apple TV+, though. Points: + 2

Peacock

The big-ticket item on Peacock in September was The Continental, a John Wick TV show. Beyond that, we got a deluge of library titles. Points: + 2
