We’ve had a lot of actors play Batman in the past several years. Not that long ago, Christian Bale made his final bow as the Caped Crusader in The Dark Knight Rises. Then Ben Affleck took over in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Affleck’s tenure was relatively short-lived. Soon enough, we were enjoying Robert Pattinson’s performance as Batman in The Batman. And now new DC Studios head James Gunn is looking for yet another actor to play Batman in a new movie called The Brave and the Bold.

Do we need this many Batmen? Of course we do, don’t ask silly questions. The real question is who should play him next.

There’s no shortage of options. The artist imaginativehk imagined what Batman might look like if he was played by 37-year-old Scottish actor Richard Madden.

Tall, dark and brooding, Madden certainly looks like he could play Bruce Wayne. He’s had a good number of high-profile roles since Robb Stark died at the Red Wedding on Game of Thrones years ago. He starred as Prince Charming in Disney’s live-action version of Cinderella and is currently playing a super-spy in Amazon’s fabulously expensive show Citadel. He’s also one of several names on a list of people who could take over the role of James Bond.

Batman is similar to James Bond in that every actor and their brother will likely want a crack at the role. Will Madden get it? It’s hard to say, but if he wants to audition, he could do worse than sending in imaginativehk’s artwork.
