Invasion is nearing the end of its second season on Apple TV+, and the alien threat is growing more complicated. Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, Invasion follows a global alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The first season saw the alien invasion kick off, with various factions and people around the world reacting in different ways. Season 2 sees those forces converge in an effort to survive the threat.

In the season’s penultimate episode, “Breathrough,” a dangerous trip to the alien mothership results in a connection across dimensions. We’re excited to reveal an exclusive clip from the episode, which features Sarah Malik (Tara Moayedi). Watch below, then we’ll discuss:

Answers remain elusive in Invasion Episode 209 clip, “Feel Things”

One of the key groups of characters in Invasion is the Malik family, who came into possession of a powerful alien artifact during season 1, referred to here as the “shard.” Here we see one of the Malik children, Sarah, undergoing tests to try and figure out the exact purpose of the mysterious item. We saw Sarah’s mother, Aneesha Malik (Golshifteh Farahani) use the shard to part a corrosive alien substance last season, but its true nature remains shrouded in mystery.

Sarah tells the doctor that her brother, Luke Malik (Azhy Robertson), is able to “feel things” through the alien shard which allow him to communicate with the extraterrestrial beings. The bigger question for Sarah is when she’ll be able to see her mother again; earlier this season she was abducted by the military. Are we close to finally seeing them reunited, and will we get answers about the alien shard?

Hopefully we’ll find out when Invasion Episode 209, “Breathrough,” drops this Wednesday, October 18 on Apple TV+. The season 2 finale follows next week on October 25.
