Even the best shows have technical slip-ups. A relatively recent example is an errant coffee cup seen in a shot from the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. This coffee cup was talked about for weeks back in the day, and is still brought up as it the show committed some kind of unforgivable sin by allowing it to appear in Winterfell. But the reality is that pretty much all TV shows and movies have little hiccups like this.
For instance, one fan found a goof-up in the second season of House of the Dragon, HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel show. When Rhaenyra exits the Iron Throne room, you can see a big blue screen in the background. Check it out below:

After a scene is shot, special effects technicians fill in a blue screen (or a green screen) with some other scene so that the finished shot looks whole. But in this case, I guess the moment was small enough that it escaped notice.
Blue screen mistake found in House of the Dragon?
These days, moments like this are often fixed in post-production; for instance, after the coffee cup made its debut in Game of Thrones, it was almost immediately scrubbed from the scene, but not before it became a legend.
There will probably be a mistake or two in the second season of House of the Dragon, which is due out on HBO and Max sometime this summer. If you spot one, take a breathe, enjoy it, and know that life will go on.
