In the Star Wars universe, beskar steel is a sacred metal used to forge the weapons used by Mandalorian warriors. It is to be treated with respect and reverence.

In our world, you can use beskar steel to cut onions. Hedley & Bennett have a new line of kitchen-ware inspired by The Mandalorian, which includes kitchen towels, aprons, and beskar steel kitchen knives.

New Star Wars Black Series figures

As long as we’re talking about Star Wars merch, Hasbro has dropped four new figures in the Star Wars Black Series line, all of which run $25. The new additions include Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed; Darth Vader from around the time of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope; the droid R4-6D0 as seen in The Mandalorian; and Din Djarin, the Mandalorian himself, wielding the Darksaber:

Get a LEGO ornithopter from Dune

Finally, let’s leave behind the galaxy far, far away and visit the desert planet of Arrakis as seen in the Dune movies. On Arrakis, the Atreides family and others are known to fly around in little flying machines called ornithopters, which is a distant genetic relative of the helicopter that evolved with wings rather than spinning blades. Now, according to IGN, there’s a LEGO version:

What’s more, the set comes with several LEGO Dune figures, including Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho and Baron Harkonnen.

The Baron Harkonnen one is amazing, with that long train. Can I just buy that one for a buck?

Anyway, at 1,369 pieces, this set may be a bit tricky for kids. Check it out on Amazon.
