Watch the last-ever trailer for the supersized series finale of Attack on Titan
By Dan Selcke
Attack on Titan, based no Hajime Isayama’s manga series of the same name, started running back in 2013, and quickly became the breakout anime hit of the 2010s. Set in a world where mindless giants called titans freely eat any human they come across, the show was bleak, dark and gripping. Ten years later, pretty much everything we thought we knew about the story has changed, and the show is ready to bring things home. The Attack on Titan series finale drops on November 5.
We have one last trailer to enjoy before that. Eren is still on his genocidal rampage, and his friends and enemies have teamed up to try and stop him. Take a look:
Attack on Titan series finale is easily the longest episode of the show
With a series as big as Attack on Titan, we expect the team to go all out. According to The Direct, the series finale — which is simply called “The Final Chapters (Part 2)” — will run for one hour and 29 minutes, which is basically the length of a short movie. This episode is longer than Toy Story, for context.
The next-longest episode of Attack on Titan was the episode before this one, which clocked in at 61 minutes. And the series finale is pushing 90 minutes.
If history is any guide, the series finale of Attack on Titan should be available to watch on Hulu with English subtitles shortly after it drops in Japan.
