Ever since Ncuti Gatwa was announced as the next Doctor on Doctor Who, fans have been hyped. Long before he set foot on set, people were singing his praises, especially anyone who has worked with him in the past.
Unsurprisingly, while filming Doctor Who, people continued to be in awe of his talent. In an interview with GQ Magazine, the future Fifteenth Doctor teased a “pivotal point” in the upcoming fourteenth season that he apparently rocked.
“The final scene in episode five. People will remember that scene,” Gatwa said. “You have to dig deep and pull out something that will blow everyone on this set away – and I bloody well did. I heard someone say: ‘That’s why he’s the Doctor.'” It sounds like we Whovians will be in good hands when Gatwa takes over.

Gatwa’s full season won’t start until next year. Before that, we expect to see him as the Doctor in three upcoming 60th anniversary specials, where David Tennant will briefly return in the role only to hand it right over to Gatwa. Season 14 is slated to begin in 2024, and filming on season 15 has already begun.
The 60th anniversary specials will air on November 25, December 2 and December 9. There will also be a holiday special on December 25.
We have waited a long time for this, Whovians, but the wait is nearly over!
