Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has a new gig: playing World War II-era resistance fighter Catherine Dior in the upcoming Apple TV+ drama The New Look. She looks a million miles from Arya Stark here:

At the same time, Catherine — the sister of famed fashion designer Christian Dior — shared some of Arya’s fighting spirit. She worked for years with the Franco-Polish intelligence during the worst stretches of World War II, before being arrested in Paris by the Gestapo and getting sent to a concentration camp. Happily she survived this ordeal to live a long life. She died in 2008 at the age of 90.

Catherine’s story sounds worthy of a TV show by itself, but she’s actually a supporting player in The New Look. The drama will mainly revolve around her brother Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and fashion designer Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche) as they change the fashion industry during some of the most turbulent years of the 20th century.

John Malkovich also stars as French couturier Lucien Lelong, along with several other cast members.

The first three episodes of The New Look will drop on Apple TV+ on February 14. The show has already been renewed for a second season.
