Exclusive clip: Meet the new characters from the next episode of Beacon 23

Beacon 23 is currently airing its first season on MGM+. This week, the show will expand its universe in some meaningful ways. So far, the science fiction series has stayed pretty tight on its two leads, Aster (Lena Headey) and Halan (Stephan James). But Episode 4, “God in the Machine,” will introduce a couple of new characters: Sophie, played by Barbara Hershey (Once Upon A Time) and Milan, played by Eric Lange (Lost).

Who are Sophie and Milan on Beacon 23?
There’s a lot of mystery surrounding these characters. Milan says that “the beacons are all I have, but I never get to enjoy them.” Who exactly is this guy? We get even less information about Sophie, who is receiving some sort of rare gift in the clip.
The official synopsis for the episode could provide some clues: “In the early days of Beacon 23’s history, Sophie receives a surprise visit, forcing her AI to act.”
It looks like we’re taking a trip back in time on Beacon 23 this week. What secrets will we uncover? Find out when Episode 4 of Beacon 23 premieres this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST on MGM+.
