4) The War Hammer Titan

Other than the zombified former Titans that appeared on Eren’s barebone back in the series finale, the War Hammer Titan was seen only once in the entire show. We later see Eren use some of its abilities. Held by the Tybur family for generations, the War Hammer jumps into action after Eren’s transformation in Liberio and engages the Attack Titan. It becomes evident that the War Hammer can manipulate hardening not only to cover its entire body but also to create gigantic weapons tailored for destructive offense.

That, along with the fact that the shifter does not need to be in the nape of the Titan’s body, makes the War Hammer an almost invincible foe on the battlefield. As we see in the Raid of Liberio arc, Mikasa Ackerman and Eren’s combined attacks could not bring down Lara Tybur’s War Hammer. Even after Eren figured out that Lara was hiding in a crystallized encasing outside of the body, he could not cause any damage until he got his hands on Porco Galliard’s Jaw Titan.

3) The Colossal Titan

The Colossal Titan only does one thing well, and that’s enough. The Colossal is not meant for strategic combat or technical strength. At nearly 200 feet tall, its purpose is pure, unbridled destruction. The Colossal is literally the Attack on Titan’s version of a nuke, creating a similar explosion and blast radius when it transforms. It can also control the high-temperature steam it radiates from its body, which acts as a by-default shield for the Titan.

Moreover, the shifter can control the level of the explosion at will. We see Armin Arlert take out an entire Marleyan port during the Raid on Liberio. On the other hand, Bertholdt Hoover kept his explosion to a minimum during the Betrayal scene, possibly to not hurt Reiner or even the other Scouts who were present, but only to terrify them. The Colossal’s strength is unmatched, but with the size comes the drawbacks of limited movements and a near-total lack of agility.
