At a time when Marvel is struggling to stay relevant, everyone remains excited for Deadpool 3. Maybe it’s that lead actor Ryan Reynolds is one of our few remaining movie stars. Maybe it’s that it’s been officially revealed that Hugh Jackman will feature in the movie as Wolverine. Or maybe it’s that the movie has more leaks than a sinking ship, with every new behind-the-scenes image sending fans into a frenzy.

We’re not going to post any of the latest leaks here, not because we care about avoiding spoilers — I don’t think anyone would buy that — but because we don’t want to get sued. However, if you’re interested in spoiling yourself, there are plentiful set pictures to be found, including here, here and (this one is a big fat SPOILER, FYI) here.

One person who would probably prefer we not spread these images around is Reynolds himself, who took to his Instagram to post a gentle rebuke of people who are sharing Deadpool 3 spoilers, and to ask that everyone try and preserve the mystery so audiences can be delighted when they see the film in the theater:

"Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone. Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the “good problems” bucket.I love making this movie."

We apologize for being one of the websites not holding back on showing images before they’re ready. At least we’re only linking to them. Hopefully that will at least keep us out of the legal line of fire. As for whether we’re in the clear morally, that’s a question for our priest.

That said, Reynolds’ message is pretty mild, both because this is — as he acknowledges — a “good problem” to have, and perhaps because he recognizes that there’s probably no stopping this kind of thing. Take it from someone who covered Game of Thrones for years: leaks will spring.

Reynolds also released a brand new still of Deadpool, presumably from the new movie. Check it out:

Good doggy. Bad skin day.

Deadpool 3 is due out in theaters on July 26, 2024.

Next. Zelda movie will be more like “a live-action Miyazaki” film than The Lord of the Rings. dark
