Generative AI programs allow you to create images with nothing but a few simple words. Wanna see what it would look like it the Eiffel Tower was made entirely of spaghetti? You can. What if Winston Churchill and Meryl Streep went on a date? AI can make it happen.

I’m definitely going to try and create those two images later. For now, let’s look at the results of some prompts by the Instagram account the_ai_dreams, which got the bright idea to take pairs of actors known for playing superheroes and switch them around. So what if Robert Downey Jr. played Batman and Ben Affleck played Iron Man? What if Tom Holland were the Flash and Ezra Miller was Spider-Man? And so on. Check out what happened below:

Okay, my takeaways from this:

  • Scarlett Johansson looks really weird as Wonder Woman. That might be the only place where the AI really messed up the image. That and maybe Paul Rudd as Captain Marvel. That looks off too.
  • Dwayne Johnson looks pretty much perfect as Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy.
  • Samuel L. Jackson looks great as Cyborg.
  • Christ Pratt and Jason Momoa could switch places as Thor and Aquaman respectively without missing a beat.

Thank you, robots.
