The Last of Us stars nominated for Best Actor and Actress at the Golden Globes

The nominations are out for the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, and both of the main cast members from The Last of Us — Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey — are nominated in prestigious acting categories.

First up, Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel, is up for the top award for actors on the TV side of things; here’s who he’s up against:

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama

• Brian Cox — Succession
• Kieran Culkin — Succession
• Gary Oldman — Slow Horses
• Pedro Pascal — The Last of Us
• Jeremy Strong — Succession
• Dominic West  — The Crown

Meanwhile, Ramsey, who played Joel’s traveling companion Ellie on The Last of Us, is up for the top award for actresses:

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama

• Helen Mirren — 1923
• Bella Ramsey — The Last of Us
• Keri Russell – The Diplomat
• Sarah Snook — Succession
• Imelda Staunton — The Crown
• Emma Stone — The Curse

It should be noted that Ramsey identifies as non-binary. According to a GQ interview, she doesn’t mind what pronouns are used for her.

So can these two pull off a win? They’re both up against cast members from Succession, which got a lot of buzz this year. But The Last of Us was a huge hit, so I wouldn’t count either of them out.

The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, Jan 7.
