The most brutal beatdowns on Invincible so far

Black Sampson

In S1 E5, Invincible and the new Guardians of the Globe find themselves squaring off with a group of henchmen hired by the crime lord Machine Head. Although all of these guys are fairly capable fighters, the presence of a guy named Battle Beast kicks things up a notch and spells bad news for our heroes. After incapacitating Invincible and Monster Girl, the Cyborg-like Black Sampson ditches his battle armor and tries to fight Battle Beast on his own, which turns out to be a foolish mistake.

Battle Beast lazily grabs Sampson’s hand when he throws a punch, and then snaps the hero’s wrist at a 90-degree angle before slamming his head into the ground. Battle Beast then tosses Sampson’s limp body across the room and leaves him in a coma for several weeks.

Aquarus

Another victim of Omni-Man’s rampage in Episode 1, Aquarus was the king of Atlantis and the resident “fish guy” of the Guardians of the Globe. One of the final four Guardians left standing, Aquarus sends giant blasts of water at Omni-Man in retaliation for his companions’ deaths, but it’s to no avail. After Omni-Man disarms War Woman and takes her mace, he uses it to one-shot Aquarus with a blow to the head that splatters his brains all over the floor.
