The most brutal beatdowns on Invincible so far

I am just now realizing that Omni-Man is responsible for most of the entries on this list, although I’m not quite sure why; he’s become the breakout character of this show for a reason. In this instance, from the finale of season 1, Omni-Man slaughters thousands of civilians as he tries to convince his son Mark to betray Earth and join the Viltrum Empire.

When the Pentagon sends fighter jets to distract Omni-Man, he observes how helpless humans are in comparison to Viltrumites, pointing out to Mark that humans need to go to all this trouble just to mimic a fraction of his power. He then attacks the jets and forces them to the ground with ease.

One of the pilots ejects from the plane and is saved by Mark. While they are standing safely on the ground and the pilot thanks Mark, Omni-Man lands behind him, puts his hand on the guy’s face and nonchalantly explodes the pilot’s head, to Mark’s horror.

Omni-Man continues by punching Mark through a skyscraper and using his son’s body to block an underground train, chopping up the passengers in it. A lot of people die on Invincible, but not this many this quickly. This scene stands out.

These scenes underline how effortless Viltrumites can murder non-super powered people. In season 2, there’s a whole subplot dedicated to rebuilding the sections of Chicago that Omni-Man obliterated with barely a thought. That’s how dangerous Omni-Man is, and potentially how dangerous Mark could be if he loses sight of his priorities.
