We're officially 10 days away from the next batch of Stranger Things episodes. To keep the party going, Netflix dropped the new Stranger Things 5 Vol. 2 trailer, and it is intense.

This is probably the most in-depth look, with context, at what's to come in the next three episodes of Stranger Things 5. There are some really obvious parts of the trailer, like Vecna's plan to rebuild a new world and the Hawkins heroes needing to come together as a team to stop Vecna from seeing that plan through.

Most importantly, there are a few moments in the new Vol. 2 trailer that deserve a little more attention. These are the moments that fans need to pay close attention to heading into Stranger Things 5 Vol. 2.

I watched the trailer like 50 times, and I shared the most important blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments that fans need to see.

Dustin reveals they've been wrong about the Upside Down the whole time

Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) gets the big reveals in the Vol. 2 trailer started with an epic line about the Upside Down. As it turns out, the gang has been completely wrong about the Upside Down and what it is exactly the entire time.

"This whole time, everything we have ever assumed about the Upside Down has been dead wrong," Dustin tells Steve (Joe Keery) or Jonathan (Charlie Heaton).

When we last saw them, Dustin figured out something about the wall in the Upside Down. He realized the Hawkins National Lab was the center, and the wall completely surrounded it in a perfect circle. And now, I'm curious to see if there's something more to that wall or some discovery that Dustin makes about the wall that leads to this new revelation about the Upside Down.

Honestly, I still don't really know what the Upside Down actually is, why it's stuck on Nov. 6, 1983, and many more aspects, but I'm ready to learn.

Nancy and Jonathan get blown back by a giant ball thing

Throughout the trailer, we see glimpses of this energy ball thing floating in the sky in what appears to be the Upside Down or even another dimension. We don't really know, but I'm assuming it's the Upside Down because we see Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan, Steve, and Dustin all looking at it at various times.

Then, we see the thing, like, explode, and Nancy and Jonathan, it appears, going flying. Are they going to be killed by this thing? Is it like the source of Vecna's power? Could it be from Dimension X? I'm very confused about what I'm looking at, but I'm sure we'll know more soon.

Will uses his powers again

There's a very short clip in the trailer of Will (Noah Schnapp) tapping back into his powers, or Vecna's powers, or the hive mind, or whatever it is. I'm still very unclear at this point how Will has powers, but he's using them again in Vol. 2.

In the video, Will stands up, and his eyes are white, just like they were in the fourth episode, "Sorcerer." In the background, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Robin (Maya Hawke) watch as Will rises. It's such a short moment, but it looks like it could be at the Squawk.

Mike reassures Eleven in Murray's truck

Right after the Will clip, we see Mike and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) have a moment. It looks like they are in the back of Murray's truck along with a few others. It's hard to say if it's the same sequence as the shootout at the MAC-Z, but it could be. Eleven is also wearing a wetsuit, it appears. I think that's what she is wearing anyway.

Mike reaches out and touches El's shoulder, and El puts her hand on top of his. They share a look, and it's potentially a look of worry, or possibly understanding. I'm grasping at straws here, but it's something. I know this moment means something to Eleven or Mike. We just don't know what it is or what it's going to be quite yet.

Dustin and Steve's season 3 callback

My favorite moment of the Vol. 2 trailer features Dustin and Steve again, and they share a call back to Stranger Things 3 when Dustin and Steve are in the elevator going into the Russian base and they find the green liquid that the Russians are using to power the machine that is trying to re-open the Upside Down. Dustin doesn't let Steve open the box without being close enough to die in case it blows up. "If you die, I die," he says.

In the Vol. 2 trailer, we see Dustin and Steve share that same catchphrase, "You die, I die." It's a promise to be there for each other no matter what. Again, we don't know the context, but I love this friendship so much. And, I don't know about you, but I'm hyped for Vol. 2, and a little scared that this could be the end for both Steven and Dustin, although I also kind of doubt it.

A demogorgon getting electrocuted

Again, I have more questions than answers here, but it really looks like we have a demogorgon getting electrocuted. I have no idea what this could be or what it could mean, but I'm assuming that it could be part of the plan to flush out or hurt Vecna. If he or the Mind Flayer are part of the hive, would getting electrocuted hurt them like the fire does? It's possible!

Eleven battles some kind of explosion in the Upside Down

Last but not least, we have Eleven, Kali (Linnea Berthelsen), and Hopper (David Harbour) in the middle of some kind of explosion in the Upside Down. We don't know what causes it, but there is a giant energy explosion in the trailer that we've seen in a few other trailers and teasers so far. It looks like there are objects flying all around them.

So, those are just a few of the key moments from the trailer that I don't want fans to miss heading into the Stranger Things 5 Vol. 2 release on Thursday, Dec. 25! We'll be covering all that and more on Winter is Coming, so stay tuned for more information about the new episodes.
