Forget White Walkers. Right now, the biggest enemy for Game of Thrones fans is Walter White!

It’s no secret that many TV shows in recent years have been the subject of “review bombing.” This is where a show is flooded with bad reviews, often by people who have never actually seen it. They just want to trash it for various reasons, many of which are hard to get into.

For 13 years, one impressive achievement has been held among TV circles: “Ozymandias,” the 14th episode of the final season of Breaking Bad, has been the only TV series on IMDB to have a perfect 10.0 rating.

That’s little surprise, as the story is acclaimed not just as the best episode of Breaking Bad but one of the single greatest TV episodes of the 21st century. It’s where everything comes apart for Walter White (Bryan Cranston) as his identity as a drug lord is exposed, his best friend is murdered, and his family turns on him. It’s a stunning hour of television that’s long earned its rating.

Now, however, as first reported by Universo Game of Thrones and further detailed by Forbes, that rating has changed thanks to a bizarre clash going on between Bad fans and fans of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It all started when episode five of AKOTSK, “In the Name of the Mother,” featuring the epic Trial of Seven, debuted on IMDB with a 10.0 rating.

That seemed to tick off Bad fans, so they went on to hit the episode with review bombs to take the rating down to 9.8. GOT fans hit back by review bombing “Ozymandias” to drag its rating down to a 9.9. Not to be outdone, Bad fans increased their reviews to drag AKOTSK to 9.7.

It doesn't take too much to shift up these scores as just a few poor reviews are the difference in how much a score percentage an episode will receive. That's been the core of the review-bombers, flooding the server with bad reviews to shake up some project for some reason.

Now, this can’t totally be proved, but it’s impossible to believe that suddenly, after 13 years, scores of people have suddenly decided “Ozymandias” wasn’t that good an episode to drag its rating down. This is more the response of GOT fans who insist that “Mother” deserves to be seen as near-perfect in the review score. Obviously, Bad fans aren't happy about this sacred cow being tarnished, so they're firing right back.

It doesn't seem to be personal between GOT and Bad fans. They're completely different genre shows that only faced off a couple of times at the Emmys. It's likely AKOTSK fans would have gone after any show with that 10.0 rating to "prove" "Mother" was the superior episode.

For the record, only three GOT episodes got a 9.9 IMDB rating: “The Rains of Castamere,” “Battle of the Bastards,” and “The Winds of Winter.” It’s a bit bizarre that all of a sudden, the fandom is taking it out on Breaking Bad for being higher-rated than AKOTSK. However, it proves this fan base is truly passionate about the saga and proving it in any way they can.
