Geralt of Rivia is one of the most skilled monster hunters on the Continent, but once upon a time he was just a young man trying to learn the ropes of being a witcher. Soon, we'll get to read that story, because Andrzej Sapkowski's new Witcher novel Crossroads of Ravens is coming.
Released in Poland late last year, Crossroads of Ravens is due to hit shelves in 19 other countries around the world on September 30, 2025. This new book is a prequel which takes us back to Geralt's earliest days as a witcher, when he's fresh out of Kaer Morhen and trying to learn how to walk the Path.
Today, Orbit has released the gorgeous U.S. cover artwork for the book, along with a plot synopsis telling readers what's in store. Behold:

Crossroads of Ravens is the first new Witcher novel Sapkowski has written in over a decade, and the first new one to be published in English since 2018. Just like its predecessor Season of Storms, it's a standalone novel about one of Geralt's early adventures, so you can expect a full tale of fantasy intrigue, swashbuckling, and adventure, told in Sapkowski's unique voice.
Crossroads of Ravens is translated into English by David French, the same translator who worked on six of the eight Witcher books previously released by Orbit. To go along with the release of Crossroads of Ravens, Orbit is also re-releasing The Last Wish and Blood of Elves in 2026 with new translations by French — those are the only two books in the publisher's original run of Witcher stories done by a different translator, Danusia Stok. There were some variations in the spellings of names and such across the different translations before, so I'm very curious to see how much more cohesive The Witcher books feel with French translating all nine of them.
