Disney made Deadpool & Wolverine cut an explicit joke about Mickey Mouse

Despite allowing all sorts of wild jokes, Disney did request the Deadpool & Wolverine team to remove one line about Mickey Mouse's manhood.

Deadpool & Wolverine didn't hold back when it came to jokes, including ones that openly mocked studios like Fox and Disney, which made the movie. But there was one line that Disney thought went too far.

The scene in question was the brainchild of star Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy. It comes near the end of the film, where Deadpool is moaning about Disney not including another X-Men cameo. And now, thanks to the movie's original script being revealed by the House of Mouse, we can show you the cut line.

Deadpool & Wolverine featuring myriad cameos from Marvel movies past, from Gambit to Elektra and Blade. But that's not enough for Deadpool, who is furious that they couldn't throw Magneto into the mix. “"F**K! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap," Deadpool says. "I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse cock in my throat.”

The line was later replaced in the final cut by Deadpool saying: "It's like Pinocchio jamming his nose up my ass for lying like crazy." Sure, it's a funny replacement, but it doesn't quite land as well.

Funnily enough, director Shawn Levy previously voiced his ardent desire for that line to never reach the public. "We have made a pact, Ryan and I, to go to our grave with that line, but I will say that it was replaced with an equally dirty line of dialogue about Pinocchio," he told Digital Spy. Well that packed lasted... a couple of months?

Deadpool & Wolverine is now streaming on Disney+.

Ryan Reynolds may have found his next superhero role!

Speaking of Deadpool (and cartoon mice), Ryan Reynolds is reportedly preparing to tackle another superhero role. Per Variety, Paramount Animation is eyeing Reynolds to star in a Mighty Mouse movie. Mighty Mouse has been around for decades, beginning with 1942 short The Mouse of Tomorrow. Free Guy writer Matt Lieberman is already working on the script.
