Disney just shared a new minute-long sizzle reel teasing its many highly-anticipated new and returning series still to come in 2025, including Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Alien: Earth, and the Marvel TV series Wonder Man. You can watch the full video embedded below:
Simon Williams shows off his powers in new look at Wonder Man
Ben Kingsley is back as Trevor Slattery in the latest look at the upcoming Marvel series Wonder Man. He only appears in a brief clip, warning Simon Williams/Wonder Man (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) that it's "not too late to turn this around." What is the "this" in question, you might ask? We'll have to watch the show to find out.
The brief snippets we see in the less than 10-second clip suggest that Simon, a struggling actor who has developed superpowers, is struggling to adapt to his newfound abilities. He is shown (accidentally?) breaking a table with his fists and unleashing a far-reaching scream that appears to level an entire building. As if auditions alone weren't stressful enough.
Slattery first appeared in Iron Man 3, where Tony Stark finds him posing as the crime lord known as "The Mandarin," leader of the Ten Rings. He later appeared in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to assist Shang-Chi (Simon Liu) in defeating the real Ten Rings mastermind, Xu Wenwu (Tony Leung Chiu-wai).
Wonder Man debuts on Disney+ in December.
Alien: Earth clip shows a Xenomorph on the prowl
The Alien: Earth clip tucked within the latest sizzle reel primarily contains shots and imagery we've already seen. There's a look at Sydney Chandler's character Wendy, plus a bird's-eye view of Sydney and her team walking across a grassy plain, likely to the site where a mysterious space vessel containing several species of Xenomorphs has crash-landed.
One clip also features a synth uploading (or downloading?) something from his brain. Actual clips containing the terrifying extraterrestrials are limited to a Xenomorph stalking someone in a warehouse and at least one person coming face-to-face with one.
Alien: Earth premieres on August 12 on FX and Hulu in the US, and on Disney+ internationally.
Disney+ teases The Sea of Monsters
Percy (Walker Scobell) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) are back in new footage shared from the upcoming second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which will adapt The Sea of Monsters, the second novel in Rick Riordan's YA series.
While the sizzle reel only gives us a few second's worth of sneak peeks, it does feature an exciting first look at the legendary chariot race sequence from book two. Chariot races are one of the most exciting activities introduced at Camp Half-Blood. Fans have been eager to see how the show will tackle it. Characters are shown clashing swords, and Annabeth is spotted wearing some new golden armor. Also of note is a quick shot of Rosemarie DeWitt, who is playing CC.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will premiere on Disney+ this December.
